Countless
exotic villages, old unexplored fortresses still speaking the truth, a
unique heritage otherwise found only in museums and cheerful people;
all fall on this path that hardly any traveler follows. The very
special tour through central Rajasthan promises many experiences sure
to find a place in travelogues. The trip promises to be a fun-filled
event with some rustic charm, some luxury, some adventure, some
wildlife, some traditions and some …… MANY COLORS!
Day
01: New Delhi:
Welcome to India! On arrival you will be
transferred and assisted till your room in your hotel. Remaining day
at leisure.
Day 02: New Delhi: After a leisurely breakfast move
out for a daylong sightseeing of Old Delhi (Shahjahanabad), which
includes the Red Fort, Chandni Chowk & Jama Masjid along with
other attractions. Later after lunch drive past through impressive
boulevards and buildings such as President's Residence and others in
Lutyen's Delhi (New Delhi). Evening free to move around the busy
Connaught Place.
Day 03: Mandawa: Reach the Shekhawati town Mandawa by
road. Walking tour of the town to see some of its frescoed "havelies"
(mansions).
Day 04: Mandawa: Excursion to Nawalgarh and
Lachhmangarh towns - the towns having some of the best frescoes and
largest havelis. Traditional Rajasthani lunch in a village.
Day 05: Bikaner:
Reach Bikaner - the camel city.
Visit the well-preserved Junagarh Fort. In the evening visit the
unique camel - breeding farm.
Day 06: Khimsar: Drive through unbeaten Central
Rajasthan and reach Khimsar- a remote village inhabited by Bishnoi
community. Stay in the Khimsar Fort, exceptional for its character and
ambience.
Day
07: Khimsar: Take an excursion to villages of Bishnoi
community and watch their unique desert life, so close to the nature.
Back in the fort, day left free for leisure.
Day 08: Nagaur: After a short drive through rustic
countryside, reach Nagaur and stay in the Palatial tents tastefully
spread in the old fort. The evening here will be spent enjoying
colorful cultural performances and barbeque in royal style.
Day
09: Kuchaman: Reach the hill top fort of Kuchaman, which has
been recently converted into a hotel having all feasible luxuries.
Day10: Kuchman: Visit the brines of the famous
Sambhar lake or take an excursion to the Sambhar town. This largest
salt-water lake of India attracts a variety of migratory birds
including the large flocks of flamingoes.
Day 11: Rupangarh: Stay in the charming Rupangrah
fort. The area is quite famous for the artists' hamlets of Kishngarh
miniature paintings. Also visit the Tilonia village - a village that
produces a number of arts and crafts through a cooperative movement.
Day 12: Pushkar:
Drive to Pushkar and check in. At
this holiest city of Rajasthan, you may also take a walk on the street
around the sacred pond and ghats upto Brahma temple.
Day 13: Samode: Reach Samode, a fairytale-like
village with an equally charming palace as your place of stay. At
Samode, you may have an enjoying camel ride over the sand dunes or
explore the heritage character of the village. Evening at leisure
watching cultural performances.
Day
14: Samode: Take a full day excursion to Jaipur and visit the
City Palace and Amber Fort as notable attractions. Option of shopping
in the busy bazaars or having a pampering meal at the opulent Rambagh
Palace.
Day 15: Neemrana: After a pleasant drive reach
Neemrana fort and check in. The day is left free to relax and
appreciate the strong character the fort reflects. Option of visiting
the village downhill.
Day 16: Departure: Drive to New Delhi for last minute
shopping and at appropriate time transfer to international airport for
your flight back home. The tour ends.
